What Lexarna does

Research, case analysis, drafting and hearing preparation for Indian litigation, organised around your matters.

What it searches

  • 60 lakh+ judgments

    Supreme Court and High Courts

  • 10,800+ Acts

    section by section

  • 8,300+ regulatory documents

SEBI, RBI, IBBI, ITAT and GST Council

  • BNS and IPC

applied by the date of the offence

Inside a matter, it also searches the documents you have added. For prices see pricing; for recent changes, the changelog.

Research and case analysis

Research

Answers from case law and your case file together.

Ask in plain words across the judgments, Acts and regulatory documents above and your own matter documents, in one question. Every answer cites its sources.

A Lexarna research session: the question “by what date must a Section 138 complaint be filed” is typed into the composer, Lexarna searches judgments and statutes, reads a Delhi High Court judgment and checks its citations, then streams a step-by-step limitation calculation ending on 22 September 2026, with each numbered citation opening its source in the Sources panel.

Real Lexarna output on an invented cheque matter. The sources are the judgments and sections the answer actually relied on.
Your evidence against the law
Ask inside a matter and the answer sets your documents beside binding precedent: where they agree, where they diverge and what is missing.
Open every citation
Each numbered citation opens the judgment at the passage relied on, with the court, bench and date.
BNS and IPC, by the date
Sources are marked by era, so an offence after 1 July 2024 is argued under the BNS and BNSS, and an earlier one under the IPC and CrPC.
Quick answers or deeper analysis
A quick answer for a known citation or a single section; a deeper analysis for questions with several issues, which uses more credits.

Case analysis

A note on the case, and the contradictions in it.

Once a matter's documents are read, Lexarna writes a short note on the case and compares every statement across the file, so weak points surface before the hearing.

A case note for every matter
The case theory in one paragraph, your strongest and weakest points, the attacks to expect, how to meet them and the questions still open.
Contradictions across the file
Differences in time, place and account between witnesses, the FIR and the chargesheet are flagged as documents arrive. Ask for a closer check on any flag.
A summary of every document
So a question like “what does Exhibit A say” is answered straight away.

Matters

Every case in one place, with its documents already read.

Each matter keeps its own documents, research, drafts and hearings. Parties, dates, amounts and events are pulled out of FIRs, statements, contracts and exhibits into one timeline.

Unfiled documents
Keep templates and reference files searchable without analysing them. Move a document into a matter whenever you want Lexarna to read it.

Drafting

Drafting

First drafts built from the matter's facts and authorities.

112 templates across pleadings, applications, contracts, notices, replies, corporate and regulatory filings, drafted from the facts of the matter, the case note and the authorities you found.

A Lexarna drafting session: “Draft a regular bail application for the accused using the attached FIR” is sent with a scanned FIR attached. Lexarna picks the bail-application template, shows a “Check the details” card with the FIR number and the offence sections already filled from the document, and on “Draft now” a court-formatted application streams into the editor — cause title, the Section 480 BNSS heading, and lettered grounds for bail.

Real Lexarna output on an invented FIR. The application runs to twenty paragraphs and eight grounds; the first of each is shown.
See the sections first
Lexarna lists the provisions it intends to cite, with a line on why. Confirm, change or remove them before drafting starts.
Checked against court format
Cause title, lettered grounds, prayer and verification, plus party names, repealed sections and the law for the date. Only the lines that need it are corrected.
Citations carried through
Authorities saved in research appear in the draft as references, with no retyping.
Your best clauses, reused
Keep strong language from finished drafts in your firm's clause library. Choose the length, from a concise application to an exhaustive petition.

Your style

Drafts that learn how you write, when you want them to.

Turn on Remember how I draft and Lexarna learns from your revisions and edits: how you cite, how long your prayers run, the arguments you return to. It is off until you choose it.

Yours and your firm's
Your own preferences, and a shared practice built only from colleagues who have turned learning on. Notes you save by hand always apply.
Private and reviewable
ID numbers, phone numbers, email addresses and case numbers are masked first, and nothing is learned from sensitive matters. Review what was learned in Settings and delete it at any time.

Translation

A matter document in the language you need.

Translate a document in a matter into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi or English. Read the original and the translation side by side; the translated copy is saved to the matter as a Word file.

Before the hearing

Hearing prep

Rehearse your arguments before the bench hears them.

Argue before a demanding bench set to Indian procedure and the objections Indian courts raise, and find the gaps before opposing counsel does.

Choose the bench
A gentle warm-up, a typical hearing, or the hardest bench you are likely to face.
Every objection sourced
Each objection is tied to the precedent behind it, and a review at the end shows where your arguments held and what to revise.

Calendar and limitation

Hearings, deadlines and limitation in one view.

Court hearings, internal deadlines, limitation dates and client meetings across every matter, each linked to its matter.

Limitation dates
Limitation periods under the Limitation Act are worked out for each matter.
Court calendars
Court holidays and vacations are taken into account.

For firms and chambers

Firms and roles

Several organisations, roles and permissions, a record of who did what, and usage across the team. Team plans are priced per seat from three seats.
